Apple iSports appoints Lyndon Hsu to its board of directors

Australian sports betting and streaming provider Apple iSports appointed Lyndon Hsu to its board of directors. According to the company, his background in finance and gaming will help it achieve international expansion.
The appointment forms part of Apple iSports’ strategic growth plan, which includes the possibility of listing its stock to trade on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange and expanding into Australia and other markets.
Hsu held various positions in leading financial institutions like Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered, and ANZ Banking Group. He also brings extensive experience in the gaming industry, having served for 20 years as Co-Chairman of the Victorian Bookmakers’ Association and having founded BetCloud, an Australian company specializing in wagering and data science.
Apple iSports CEO Joe Martinez said in the statement, “[Hsu’s] appointment will strengthen our leadership team as we continue to build Apple iSports into a global igaming and entertainment company with a potential up-listing to the Nasdaq Stock Exchange when the timing is right. His connections in corporate finance and business as an executive and successful entrepreneur bring much-needed talent to our company.”
Apple iSports has been working to find ways to expedite its business growth. In August 2023, the company announced that it planned to invest in a 45% equity stake in The Leg Up Australia. Its sports betting and media platform has a significant presence across the Australian market. The company then said that it viewed this purchase as a move to increase its presence in overseas markets while strengthening its core products in igaming and entertainment.
