WSOP online bracelet event cancelled due to technical difficulties

Day two of the World Series of Poker tour event was cancelled on Monday night after several players were unable to log in to compete due to technical issues.
The announcement, made via the tour’s official X account, said, “Today’s restart of Online Bracelet Event #7 encountered technical difficulties, which resulted in a high number of players unable to log in for the tournament. Therefore the tournament has been cancelled and all players who were in the field on the start of Day 2 will be contacted.”
The tournament in question, which is considered one of World Series of Poker’s largest online events, had a US$1 million guaranteed prize pool that had already been surpassed during play.
The organizers now have some fallout to deal with after the technical issues, as some players were able to access the event. One player won a US$100,000 bounty, while others could just sit and watch, which led to frustration.
Competing in the tournament, Terrence Reid described the experience on X, saying “Those who are dealing with @wsoponline issues like me, and update. I finally got logged in to watch myself forced in and bust. Others are still playing and stealing all of our money.”
The World Series of Poker has not announced how the day two payouts will be divided and if the US$100,000 bounty will be honored.
The tournament is currently held on the Las Vegas Strip at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas. In April, Caesars Entertainment announced that it had expanded the event to include Pennsylvania.
